Frequently Asked Questions
What types of businesses do you work with?
I work with service-based businesses that want clean, reliable, tax-ready financial systems. My clients typically sell expertise rather than products and care about accuracy, compliance, and clarity. This includes firms that manage retainers or client funds and need disciplined trust accounting alongside day-to-day bookkeeping.
Do you handle IOLTA or client trust accounting?
Yes. Trust accounting is a core specialty.
I provide full client-trust accounting support, including three-way reconciliations, sub-ledger tracking, and clean monthly trust reporting. I also integrate trust activity with tools like LawPay, TimeSolv, Bill4Time, and Clio where applicable, so operating accounts, trust balances, and client ledgers stay aligned every month.
What if my books are messy or behind?
That’s extremely common. Most clients come to me in that position.
I start with a Financial Assessment and Setup Review to identify errors, gaps, and cleanup needs. From there, I bring everything current and organized before transitioning into ongoing monthly bookkeeping.
What does it cost to work with you?
I offer two core bookkeeping packages for service-based businesses, plus an optional trust accounting add-on for businesses that manage client funds.
Basic Bookkeeping
Starting at $500 per month
Ideal for small service businesses that want clean, accurate books. Includes full reconciliations and organized monthly reports to keep you tax-ready and informed.
Premium Bookkeeping
Starting at $800 per month
Built for growing businesses that want deeper financial clarity and proactive support. Includes monthly review calls or voice summaries, cash-flow snapshots, guidance around expenses and growth, faster response times, and priority support.
Trust Accounting Add-On (IOLTA / Client Trust)
Starting at $500 per month per trust account
For businesses that manage retainers or client trust funds. Includes three-way reconciliations, client sub-ledger tracking, and monthly trust reports with full transparency and compliance support.
Financial Assessment and Setup Review
Before starting monthly services, I conduct a Financial Assessment and Setup Review to evaluate your books and define the exact scope of work.
The review costs $297 and includes:
A detailed analysis of your financial records and systems
Review of account setup and reconciliation accuracy
Identification of errors, risks, and workflow improvements
If you move forward with monthly services, the $297 is applied to your first invoice, making the review effectively free.
If cleanup or rebuilding work is required, pricing is provided after the review based on complexity.
What software do you use?
I work exclusively in QuickBooks Online and am a certified ProAdvisor.
How does the process work?
Step 1 – Free Q&A Call
We discuss your current setup, challenges, and goals.
Step 2 – Financial Assessment
I review your books, identify issues, and provide a clear cleanup or monthly proposal.
Step 3 – Ongoing Support
Your books are reconciled and verified by the 15th of each month, or that month’s on me.
Will I work directly with you?
Yes. You’ll work directly with me, Joshua, for communication, reviews, and oversight. I do have internal support behind the scenes to ensure consistency and follow-through, but you’ll always have direct access to me.
Do you understand trust-account compliance requirements?
Yes. I’ve studied trust-accounting standards across multiple states and complete ongoing education related to trust accounting compliance. My workflows are designed to protect clients from errors, misalignment, and audit risk.
Are you a CPA or tax preparer?
I’m a professional bookkeeper and an EA candidate (currently pursuing Enrolled Agent certification). I understand how your books impact your tax position, but I do not prepare or file tax returns. I work seamlessly with your CPA or tax professional.
Do you offer CFO or advisory services?
Not at this time. My focus is accurate, compliant bookkeeping that creates a solid financial foundation for decision-making, tax planning, and growth.
Do you handle payroll?
Not directly. I partner with a full-service payroll provider and ensure payroll data is properly integrated and reflected in your books.
How long does onboarding take?
Most businesses are fully onboarded and organized within about 30 days, depending on the condition of the books and how quickly information is provided.
What’s your Clarity Guarantee?
You’ll receive clean, reconciled books and verified trust balances within the guaranteed timeframe, generally 60 days.
If I don’t deliver that level of clarity within the guarantee period, you’ll receive two free months of service plus a 10% refund on your last payment.
What happens during the Free Q&A Call?
It’s a relaxed, no-pressure conversation. I’ll ask questions to understand your business and you can ask anything related to bookkeeping or trust accounting. If it looks like a good fit, I’ll explain next steps. No obligation.
How do I get started?
